Failure can be an uncomfortable topic. It's natural to want to
avoid events and situations which evoke difficult feelings for
us. However, mistakes can be a powerful motivator and, if
managed well, help us to improve our professional practice.
Health professions' institutions have an important role in
creating an environment where students can learn from
failure. In this month's Fast Facts we look at ten practical ways
educators can promote a positive culture around managing
mistakes and failure.
