I am a Registered Dietitian and Researcher, based at Children's Health Ireland in Temple Street and I am also part of the Obesity Research and Care Group at The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. My key research interests are child, adolescent and adult obesity and dietetics and nutrition. I work as part of an expert team of researchers and healthcare professionals in the field of child and adolescent weight management. As a passionate Committee member of the Association for the Study of Obesity on the Island of Ireland (ASOI: https://asoi.info/) and from clinical experience of the Temple Street W82GO Healthy Lifestyles Service (http://w82go.ie/) which is currently Ireland’s only obesity treatment for children and young people, I have gained extensive insight of the complex circumstances and challenges that individuals and families living with obesity can experience. This fuels my motivation, determination and commitment to drive change, enable improvements in healthcare services.
